Families and friends can also find information on the website regarding mental health and the best ways to support people who are experiencing it. Anytime and anywhere can be used with Jawad Consultant.

It can be used as a tool to facilitate discussions about mental health with medical professionals so that care and well-being discussions are personalized to the people’s unique circumstances, interests, and concerns. Fewer healthcare professionals see patients in person. Additionally, we are still using Zoom video/audio to visit patients online.

Anxiety

Anxiety is a feeling of fear, dread, and apprehension. Anxiety disorders are conditions in which you have anxiety that does not go away and can get worse over time.

The symptoms can interfere with daily activities such as job performance, schoolwork, and relationships.

Anxiety disorders involve repeated episodes of sudden feelings of intense anxiety and fear or terror that reach a peak within minutes (panic attacks). It might cause you to sweat, feel restless and tense.

Depression

Depression is the most prevalent mental health disease, which frequently co-occurs with anxiety. Depression can range from moderate and transient to severe and persistent.

While some people may only experience depression once, others may do it several times. 

More than 19 million teens and adults in the United States suffer from depression.

Suicide can result from depression, but it can be avoided with the right help. It’s critical to understand that there are several ways to support young people who are considering suicide.

Depression can happen at any age, but it often begins in teens and young adults. It is much more common in women and interferes with daily life functioning.

Grief & Bereavement

Grief is the emotional reaction to loss, especially the loss of a person or other living object to whom you had a close attachment or affection.

Grief has many different aspects, in addition to its traditional focus on the emotional reaction to loss, including physical, cognitive, behavioral, social, cultural, spiritual, and philosophical aspects. Bereavement refers to the state of loss, whereas sorrow is the response to that loss, despite the fact that the phrases are frequently used interchangeably.

Conduct Disorder

Panic disorder is twice as common in women as it is in men. Symptoms often begin before age 25 but may occur in the mid-30s. Children can also have panic disorder, but it is often not diagnosed until they are older..

Behavioral Issues

A pattern of disruptive actions that cause issues at home, at school, and in social settings is a sign of a behavioral disorder. Both toddlers and adults frequently experience behavioral issues.

Although almost everyone occasionally demonstrates some of these habits, behavior disorders are more problematic. These disorders can have a negative impact on a person’s capacity to keep down a career and uphold relationships if not treated in childhood.

Trauma is a widespread issue. It happens when someone experiences a single incident or a string of emotionally upsetting or life-threatening events that have a lasting negative impact on their functioning and mental, physical, social, emotional, and/or spiritual well-being.

Oppositional defiant disorder (ODD). Most diagnoses occur while a child is young. Children that have ODD are rebellious, angry and uncooperative with peers, parents, teachers, and other adults in authority. They cause others more anxiety than they do themselves.

Relationship Issues

Relationship issues are referred to as interpersonal challenges. These issues could be the result of emotions, ideas, or actions that prevent you from connecting with people generally or in certain kinds of relationships.

A multitude of conditions, such as difficulties controlling one’s emotions and impulses, unhelpful thought and behavior patterns, and personality disorders, can make it difficult for someone to establish and sustain healthy relationships.

ADHD & Teenage Issues

ADHD is one of the most common neurodevelopmental disorders of childhood. It frequently persists into maturity and is typically first diagnosed in infancy.

Children with ADHD may struggle to focus, manage impulsive behaviors (doing without considering the consequences), or be extremely active.

Bipolar Disorder

Bipolar disorder (formerly called manic-depressive illness or manic depression) is a mental illness that causes unusual shifts in mood, energy activity levels, concentration, and the ability to carry out day-to-day tasks.

Although bipolar disorder is a lifelong condition, you can manage your mood swings and other symptoms by following a treatment plan. In most cases, bipolar disorder is treated with medications and psychological counseling (psychotherapy).

Phobia

A phobia is a persistent, uncontrollable fear of a certain thing, circumstance, or action. A person may go to considerable efforts to avoid the cause of this dread if it becomes too overwhelming.

An anxiety attack is one possible reaction. This fear comes on suddenly, is powerful, and lasts for several minutes.
